To make this easy you want to stretch out the opening of the feet hole by using your plyers to stretch it as much as you need. I often suggest in 8 spots! So this is spot one. Giving your bird a bit of a turn you do it again! Do this till the feet pop in!

Feet happily in place. Now paint them seal them with your sealent and walla! Your good to go! ... Oh note I didn't need glue on these feet do to the inner ring the more ring you have on the inside the better the chance of not needing glue. Sweet Deal right!
